Indian citizens can now enter Uzbekistan visa-free with 8 countries and Schengen visa
From September 1, Indian citizens holding multiple-entry business or tourist visas from Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, South Korea, the Schengen countries, New Zealand or Japan will be able to enter Uzbekistan without a visa for up to 30 days. To do this, they must have a plane ticket to their home country or a third country.
Indian citizens will now be able to enter Uzbekistan visa-free with 8 countries and a Schengen visa.
Starting from September 1, 2026, Indian citizens will be able to enter Uzbekistan visa-free for up to 30 days if they have a valid multiple-entry business or tourist visa from certain countries. This new procedure was approved by Presidential Decree No. PF-180 dated August 29, 2026.
To be eligible for visa-free entry, an Indian citizen must have a valid multiple-entry business or tourist visa from one of the following countries:
* Canada
* USA
* United Kingdom
* Schengen countries
* Japan
* Australia
* New Zealand
* South Korea
In addition, the citizen must provide an onward flight ticket to their home country or a third country.
The visa-free regime is valid for a period of up to 30 days from the date of entry into Uzbekistan during the validity period of a foreign visa.
That is, if an Indian citizen has a valid multiple-entry business or tourist visa of one of the above-mentioned countries and shows an onward flight ticket from Uzbekistan, he is not required to obtain a separate Uzbekistan visa.
It should be recalled that on August 29-30, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Uzbekistan. During the negotiations, the two countries agreed to take the necessary measures to increase the volume of mutual trade to $ 5 billion by 2030. 12 documents were signed between the governments aimed at expanding cooperation in various fields.
