Uzbekistan has approved updated rules for civil aviation
The "Uzaviation" Agency has adopted updated aviation rules fully based on the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). These documents concern air traffic services, aeronautical charts, and the operation of aeronautical information services.
The new acts have been registered with the Ministry of Justice and prepared in accordance with the provisions of Annex 11 "Air Traffic Services" to the Convention on International Civil Aviation.
In addition, the Director of the Agency approved regulatory and technical documents on aeronautical charts and aeronautical information services.
The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) is a specialized agency of the UN that coordinates international cooperation in the field of civil aviation. Its main task is to ensure the safe and orderly development of international aviation worldwide.
ICAO develops international standards and recommended practices that define requirements for flight safety, air traffic services, air navigation, airport operations, and other technical aspects of aviation. Based on these, states formulate and update their own aviation rules.
The organization's activities also affect individual elements of the aviation system. For instance, ICAO assigns four-letter codes to airports, which are used in flight plans, aeronautical and meteorological information, as well as on aeronautical charts. The organization is also involved in developing unified approaches to airspace organization and the interaction of aviation services from different countries.
Thus, ICAO standards allow the aviation systems of different states to operate under comparable rules. This is particularly important for international flights, when aircraft cross the airspace of several countries.
