Uzbekistan is changing the operating procedure of its cadastral system

Uzbekistan intends to transfer part of the cadastral procedures from the republican level to the regions and districts. At the same time, certain stages in the processing system of cadastral documents are being reduced, and applicants are being provided with the opportunity to track the stage of their application and which organization is reviewing it.

This was announced by the Acting Chairman of the Chamber of State Cadastres, Bekhzod Karimov, during an on-site reception in the Mirzo-Ulugbek district of Tashkent.

According to him, previously, individual cadastral documents could undergo approval through 18 organizations. At the same time, it was not always clear to the applicant at what stage their application was and which organization was responsible for its review.

Over the past month, as Karimov noted, changes have appeared in the system that allow viewing the current stage of document processing, the responsible organization, and the outcome of the approval — positive or negative.

In parallel, part of the authority is being transferred to regional and district departments. This concerns issues that were previously considered at a higher level, although Karimov did not specify the concrete list of already transferred powers.

Another problem mentioned by the head of the Chamber was unjustified rejections of applications from citizens and legal entities. According to him, such cases are under the constant control of the agency. They promise to announce the number of identified cases and the decisions made on them after the count is completed.

As Karimov noted, the inventory is needed not only to update cadastral information. During the process, specialists must compare the data with the actual state of the objects and identify existing problems on the ground.

At the same time, the head of the Chamber admitted that it has not yet been possible to completely eliminate bureaucratic procedures. According to him, individual stages are being reduced, and work on changing the procedure for reviewing documents continues.
