In Uzbekistan, the number of passenger cars owned by individuals is approaching 5 million.

According to information provided by the National Statistics Committee, as of April 1, 2026, 4.9 million vehicles were registered to individuals in the country.

Over the past year, the fleet of privately owned vehicles increased by 344,600 units. Of the total number of registered vehicles, 4.55 million are passenger cars, equivalent to 92.8% of the total fleet owned by individuals.

The observed increase in the number of vehicles in the country is increasing the burden on the road network and highlights the need for active development of transport infrastructure.
