Uzbekistan has established requirements for the operation of compliance and anti-corruption control services

Uzbekistan has introduced a unified procedure for the activities of compliance and internal anti-corruption control units in government bodies and companies where the state share is 50% or more.

These units will identify corruption risks, prevent violations, and monitor conflicts of interest. They can function as an independent service, a department, or a separate position.

Requirements for education, work experience, and special training have been defined for the employees. The standard KPI system will not apply to them, and any related bonuses must be paid in the maximum amount. Employees are also guaranteed state legal and social protection.

It is reported that the compliance service of the Tashkent city administration (khokimiyat) verified data on 29 employees who had previously committed crimes. Following the analysis, two employees were dismissed, and another was transferred to a different position.
