In Uzbekistan, land plots worth 4.7 trillion sums were sold at auctions

Since the beginning of 2026, 11,796 land plots with a total area of 2.8 thousand hectares have been sold to entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan at auctions. Their total cost reached 4.7 trillion sums.

This was reported on October 8 at a press conference of the State Assets Management Agency. According to the agency, in 2022–2025, the volume of land plots put up for auction and sold under ownership or lease rights increased almost fourfold. Auctions provide an opportunity to acquire plots under the stipulated terms of ownership or lease.

At the same time, the agency's data refers to land that has already been sold. The presentation did not specify separately how many plots were put up for bidding but not sold.

In addition to sales through auctions, the press conference also covered the privatization of land that citizens and companies were already using. Based on electronic applications, more than 36.5 thousand plots with a total area of 3,509 hectares were registered into private ownership.

As explained by the director of the agency, Sokhibjon Murodov, this is a different mechanism: unlike auctions, citizens and legal entities register ownership of plots already in their use.

, that Uzbekistan introduced a mechanism for selling land plots at auctions with ready-made documents and construction permits.
