"Demo Day" of Startup Projects Held in Uzbekistan

In honor of the 35th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Agency for Innovative Development under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan organized a "Demo Day" event focused on presenting startup projects to large industrial clusters.

The event was dedicated to the theme "Development of Uzbekistan's Startup Ecosystem and Measures Taken within the Framework of Newly Created Mechanisms, as well as the Presentation of Startup Projects to Large Clusters."

The main objective of the "Demo Day" was to establish practical interaction between local startup companies and large industrial clusters, introduce innovative ideas into production, and attract investment to promising projects.

During the event, about 40 authors of startup projects presented their innovative developments and business ideas to investors and representatives of large businesses. In total, about 60 people took part in the event, including: investors; representatives of venture capital funds; heads of large industrial clusters; and entrepreneurs.

Following the presentations, investors and cluster representatives familiarized themselves in detail with the promising projects and discussed issues regarding their financing, implementation into production, as well as opportunities for further cooperation.

The "Demo Day" became a platform for direct dialogue between the authors of startup projects, investors, and large industrial clusters.

Within the framework of the event, opportunities for cooperation on the practical implementation of innovative developments and the development of promising startups were considered.

Overall, the event became one of the practical initiatives aimed at developing Uzbekistan's startup ecosystem, linking innovative projects with large businesses, and expanding financing opportunities for startup initiatives.
