The SCO Business Council is considering investments in Uzbek IT startups.

IT Park Uzbekistan reports on talks held between its representatives and a delegation from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Business Council. During the meeting, potential investments in Uzbek IT startups and the development of the country's digital infrastructure were discussed.
The SCO Business Council delegation was represented by Deputy Director Yao Jiantao, Executive Director of the MOX Project Participation Department Sun Qi, and Project Coordinator in Uzbekistan Jiang Hao.
Meeting participants focused on the prospects for creating and developing data centers, as well as infrastructure for research and development (R&D). Support measures for technology companies and assistance for Uzbek startups entering international markets were discussed.
Representatives of the SCO Business Council expressed preliminary interest in investing in projects implemented by Uzbek IT startups. Specifically, solutions in the areas of electronic maps and mobile mapping services, government information platforms, and information systems for transport and healthcare were discussed.
Furthermore, the parties discussed the possibility of implementing integrated technology projects that will include computing power, energy supply, and operational infrastructure.
Special attention was paid to cooperation in R&D, the development of new technological solutions, and support for the international expansion and export of IT services and products created by Uzbek startups.
Following the meeting, the SCO Business Council was recommended to continue dialogue with the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan on investment in IT startups.
