In the trial regarding the murder of an Uzbek woman in Turkey, one of the defendants has been released. Following the hearing held on September 15, O.B. was released from prison, while the decision regarding U.S. was postponed to the next hearing.

This case is related to a murder that took place in August 2025 in the Umraniye district of Istanbul. At that time, Turkish media reported that a female citizen of Uzbekistan, born in 1992, was attacked on Aytashi Street in the Ihlamurkuyu neighborhood.

According to reports, the woman was stabbed by an unidentified person while walking on the street. Police and ambulance crews arrived at the scene. Medical personnel determined that the woman had sustained a neck injury and died at the scene.

Initial reports stated that the attacker had fled the scene, and the police were taking measures to identify and apprehend him.

Later during the investigation, it was revealed that Uzbek citizen U.S. was accused of killing his spouse. O.B. was charged with aiding and abetting the commission of the crime.

At the next court hearing, it was determined that there were insufficient grounds to keep O.B. in custody, and he was released. The final decision regarding U.S. is expected to be announced at the next court hearing.

On September 12, a court verdict was handed down in Istanbul, Turkey, against two individuals accused of killing and dismembering two Uzbek women. The court sentenced Dilshod Turdimurodov and Gofurjon Kamolkhodjayev each to two aggravated life sentences.
