Police Seek Victims of Fraudster Who Issued Loans Under Fictitious Receipts in Tashkent Region
A loan fraud case is being investigated in the Tashkent region. According to investigators, a man lent money to people, but instead of the actual amount, he forced them to sign receipts for an amount ten times larger. Anyone who has suffered from his actions is asked to contact law enforcement agencies.
According to the Regional Department of Internal Affairs, the suspect is 48-year-old Pavel Kim, a native of Almalyk. He offered citizens financial assistance in the form of loans from his personal account.
In one documented case, the man handed over $800 to a citizen, but in the receipt he indicated that he had received $8,000 from him, allegedly as "insurance" for the debt repayment.
Later, according to law enforcement officers, Kim secured a civil court ruling using the executed receipt, even though the actual amount transferred was ten times less than that stated in the document. As a result, the victim found himself in a difficult situation, and his rights and financial interests were violated.
Kim also used such documents in court, allowing him to obtain rulings in his favor.
A criminal case has been opened against the man under clause "a" of part 3 of Article 168 ("Fraud").
Law enforcement officers are currently establishing whether there were other victims of the suspect.
Citizens who have suffered from his actions or have information about possible episodes of fraud are asked to contact the Department of Internal Affairs of the Tashkent Region at +998 71 762-20-82 or 102.
