In Tashkent, an online platform for the National Transparency System has been launched

The launch of the online platform of the National Transparency System took place in Tashkent

On September 24, Tashkent hosted the official launch ceremony of the online platform of the National Transparency System, which was the result of a series of training workshops held from September 21 to 24.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan, the Green Economy Projects Center under the Ministry, as well as experts from Expertise France and Citepa. The main objective of the project is to digitalize the processes of collecting, systematizing, managing, and reporting on the republic's climate commitments under the Enhanced Transparency Framework.

As part of the training workshops, participants were shown the architecture of the digital platform and its main modules, including the greenhouse gas emissions inventory and climate change mitigation measures. The platform enables data entry, calculations, information export, and the preparation of final reports. Special emphasis was placed on integrating the system into the preparation process of the next Biennial Transparency Report (BTR 2) and the National Greenhouse Gas Inventory.

Based on the results of the practical sessions, the online platform of the National Transparency System was officially handed over to the relevant agencies of the republic and put into practical operation.
