A video depicting a conflict between a courier and a multi-story building security guard spread on social media, causing widespread discussion. It shows physical force being used and insults being directed at the delivery service employee by the security guard. This case was reviewed in the Yunusobod District Court.
The incident took place on September 6 at approximately 14:30 in front of one of the multi-story buildings on Boghiravon Street in the Yunusobod district of Tashkent. As revealed in court, the 20-year-old courier went to the address to deliver his next order. He called the customer and waited for them to come down to pick up the order.
According to the courier's testimony in court, before the customer picked up the order, the security guard insulted him, took the cap off his head, and did not return it. He also stated that the security guard spoke in an insulting tone about how much money he earns. The dispute continued even after the courier indicated that he was recording the incident on video.
The security guard, however, stated that he tried to stop the courier from entering the building in the course of performing his duties. According to the man, he explained to the courier to call the customer and wait outside. However, the courier entered the building along with other residents. After that, he admitted that he got angry, spoke harshly to the courier, and swore at him.
The testimonies of the parties were heard in court. Regarding the situation, an administrative protocol was drawn up against the security guard under Article 183 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility (minor hooliganism), and the case was sent to court.
The Yunusobod District Criminal Court found the security guard guilty of committing this offense and sentenced him to 10 days of administrative arrest.
An administrative case was registered regarding the situation, and the materials were sent to court.
