In the Yunusabad district of the capital, a conflict erupted between a man and the chairman of the Bogishamol mahalla. The conflict stemmed from the chairman's demand that the operation of an illegally installed amusement ride be stopped.

The incident occurred yesterday evening, at approximately 8:00 PM, in front of a shopping mall. According to law enforcement, the mahalla chairman approached the man who had operated the ride without the necessary permit and demanded that it be shut down. As a result of the conflict, the chairman sustained bodily injuries.

The Investigative Department of the Yunusabad District Police Department has opened a criminal case under Article 277 of the Criminal Code ("Hooliganism"). The investigation is currently underway.

It is noted that in the first half of 2026, not a single crime was recorded in 5,778 mahallas across Uzbekistan. At the same time, 476 mahallas were classified as “red” and require increased attention from law enforcement agencies.
