In Samarkand, a man was detained while receiving $3,000 for organizing "Umrah"

In Samarkand, a man, without having the appropriate authority, promised to organize "Umrah" for four citizens. For the trip to Saudi Arabia, he requested $4,800.

The man is 70 years old and was previously convicted of fraud. He resides in Samarkand, while the four individuals wishing to perform "Umrah" live in the Aqdarya district.

Officers of the State Security Service and the regional internal affairs department detained the man while he was receiving $3,000. The money was seized as material evidence.

A criminal case has been initiated against him. An investigation is underway.
