In the Ohangaron district of the Tashkent region, the head of an LLC, which served as the general contractor for the construction of a poultry farm, was detained on suspicion of demanding $83.5 thousand from a subcontractor in exchange for releasing a remaining payment of 1.2 billion soums.

According to the State Security Service, the head of an LLC, designated as the general contractor for the construction of a poultry farm being established in the Ohangaron district, signed a contract worth 3.7 billion soums with another LLC in April of this year for the asphalt paving of the facility's internal roads.
The subcontractor completed the work specified in the contract. Following this, the general contractor transferred 2.5 billion soums of the agreed amount to their account, but did not pay the remaining 1.2 billion soums.
According to the SSS, the head of the general contractor LLC demanded a total of 83.5 thousand US dollars from the founder of the subcontractor enterprise in exchange for accepting the completed asphalt paving work and paying the remaining 1.2 billion soums.
During an operational event conducted by officers of the SSS Department for Tashkent Region and the Department for Combating Economic Crimes, the head of the LLC was caught with material evidence while receiving the requested 83.5 thousand dollars.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding this matter. Investigative proceedings are currently ongoing.
