Officials who illegally confiscated 235 fish from an entrepreneur in Muynak have been fined

In the Muynak district of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, measures have been taken against officials who illegally confiscated 235 fish belonging to an entrepreneur.

It was revealed that by the relevant decision of the khokim of the Muynak district, a water reservoir was allocated to "A.A." LLC. The company established fish farming in this reservoir and operated on the basis of an agreement with the Karakalpakbaliksanoat association.

Inspectors of the Kazakhdarya State Forestry Department inspected the company's activities and confiscated a total of 235 industrially farmed fish.

An investigation by the Business Ombudsman revealed that the inspection was conducted illegally and the fish were confiscated contrary to the law.

The inspection was not registered in the "Single State Control" information system in accordance with the procedure established by law. As a result, material damage was caused to the entrepreneur.

Administrative offense protocols were drawn up against the responsible officials regarding the situation. By the decision of the Kungrad District Criminal Court, they were subjected to administrative fines.

Additionally, it was ordered that the damage caused to the entrepreneur be recovered from the officials on a joint and several basis.

Earlier, it was reported that cases had been initiated against regional electric network enterprises following the unjustified collection of 5.5 billion soums from entrepreneurs.
