Kyrgyzstan has revised entry rules for foreigners who have violated the allowed period of stay.
Foreigners who have exceeded the permitted period of stay in Kyrgyzstan may be banned from re-entering for a period equal to the duration of their visa-free stay. The corresponding amendments were made by the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic.
Now, a foreigner's period of stay will be automatically calculated by the Unified System for External Migration Accounting. The date of completion of the previous period of stay will be considered the day of the last departure from Kyrgyzstan.
An exception is provided for foreign spouses and minor children of Kyrgyz citizens. If they have violated the period of stay, they will be allowed to enter the country once to legalize their status.
After entry, they will have 30 working days to obtain the necessary documents. The family relationship must be documented.
Foreigners who have stayed in Kyrgyzstan longer than the established period will also be able to obtain a residence permit in accordance with migration legislation.
In addition, Moldova has been added to one of the lists of countries.
