In Jizzakh, a case of repeated sexual abuse of a 10-year-old boy was uncovered, which, according to the investigation, lasted for approximately two months.

The suspect — a 53-year-old man previously convicted of theft — fled after being summoned to the prosecutor's office and was declared wanted, only to be found dead the very next day.

According to the Department of Internal Affairs of the Jizzakh Region, the man committed abuse against the minor, who is a close relative of his wife. According to preliminary information, he repeatedly committed illegal acts and threatened the child with violence if he told anyone about what happened.

A criminal case has been initiated against the 53-year-old man under the article on the violent satisfaction of sexual desire in an unnatural form against a minor.

After being summoned to the Jizzakh prosecutor's office, the man, fearing criminal liability, fled. On October 3, he was declared wanted.

The following day, on October 4, during a special operation, the suspect was found dead in an unfinished building belonging to him.

Currently, the Jizzakh prosecutor's office and internal affairs bodies are continuing investigative actions in the sexual abuse case. A separate investigation is also being conducted into the death of the suspect.

The victimized child is being provided with the necessary psychological and legal assistance.

Recently, a report of sexual abuse of a five-year-old child in one of the state kindergartens of the Uchkurgan district of the Namangan region caused a wide public outcry. Following this, amendments were made to the legislation aimed at strengthening the protection of children from violence.
