A 21-year-old youth who attempted to rob a jewelry store has been detained in Jizzakh
In the city of Jizzakh, a 21-year-old youth who was preparing to break into a jewelry store with the intent to commit theft has been detained. He had previously been convicted of a crime related to theft and was currently serving his sentence under the supervision of a probation group.
According to reports, the incident took place in the Madaniyat neighborhood of Jizzakh city. Officers of the patrol-post service of the public order maintenance department of the regional DIA public safety service, who were conducting night duty, noticed a suspicious individual wearing a black mask and a black cap, with protective gear on his hands and a black bag on his shoulder.
Assessing the situation, the officers called for backup and established quick communication with officers on duty in other areas of the neighborhood. As a result of the measures taken, the individual, who attempted to hide, was detained shortly after.
According to preliminary data, the youth, born in 2005, had prepared in advance to break into the jewelry store for the purpose of theft. Special devices that could be used for cutting glass, breaking locks, and other actions, as well as items taken from the store, were seized from him and documented as material evidence.
During the investigation, it was established that he had previously committed a crime related to theft. It was revealed that he had been prosecuted for this act by the Samarkand Regional Criminal Court and was currently serving his sentence under the supervision of the probation group of the internal affairs bodies.
In connection with this situation, procedural actions are being carried out in accordance with the procedure established by law. Measures are being taken to legally assess his actions and determine his involvement in other potential crimes.
