According to the case materials, the husband and wife first had an argument over the phone. The man told his wife to come home and that he would be waiting for her. The woman went home with her sister, and the quarrel between the spouses continued inside the house.
During the quarrel, the man attempted to injure his wife with a kitchen cleaver. However, the cleaver struck the woman's sister, who was trying to separate them.
The victim sustained bodily injuries and was hospitalized. Her life was saved thanks to the medical assistance provided.
At the court hearing, the victim stated that she is still undergoing treatment.
The Uchkuprik District Criminal Court found the man guilty of committing the crime stipulated in Article 104, Part 2, Clause "i" of the Criminal Code (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm with the purpose of obtaining human organs and tissues).
