In Bukhara, the Uzbekistan-Japan Center was established to develop science and education

Uzbekistan-Japan Center for the Development of Science and Education Opened in Bukhara

The grand opening of the Uzbekistan-Japan Center took place at the Bukhara State Technical University.

The creation of this center has become a significant step in strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the fields of education, science, innovation, and cultural and humanitarian exchange, as well as in expanding international opportunities for youth.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Khokim of Bukhara Region Batir Zaripov, University Rector Sadokat Siddikova, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Uzbekistan Kenji Hirata, Head of the JICA Office in Uzbekistan Mamoru Sakai, Co-Directors of the Uzbekistan-Japan Center Hiroo Iwazaki and Alisher Paygamov, as well as representatives of the Embassy of Japan, the University of Tsukuba, and other organizations.

The center's work will create favorable conditions for studying the Japanese language, getting acquainted with Japanese culture, exchanging international experience, and involving youth in scientific and innovative projects. The new platform at the Bukhara State Technical University is designed to become an important link in strengthening friendly ties and educational partnership between Uzbekistan and Japan.
