In the Fergana region, a specialist from a district cadastre department and a head of a construction and housing and communal services department have been arrested.

The Uzbekistan District Department of the Department under the General Prosecutor's Office, in cooperation with officers from other law enforcement agencies, conducted a swift operation.

During the operation, D.T., a specialist of the Uzbekistan district cadastre department, was detained while receiving $5,000 out of an agreed $9,500. In exchange, through an acquaintance working in the district construction and housing and communal services department, he had promised to register 31 acres of non-residential land in the "Avg'on" neighborhood citizens' assembly (MFY) area as residential property for citizen M.I. In the continuation of the operation, O.N., the head of the district construction and housing and communal services department (previously convicted), was caught with material evidence while receiving the $5,000 from D.T.

Regarding this case, a criminal investigation has been initiated under Articles 25, 168 (fraud) and 28, 211 of the Criminal Code, and investigative proceedings are underway.

Earlier, in Surxondaryo, employees of a district Department of Ecology and Environmental Protection and the State Cadastre Chamber, who had promised to secure land, were detained.
