Imports of petroleum products to Uzbekistan increased by 15.7%

For January–August 2026, imports of oil and petroleum products to Uzbekistan reached 1,044.0 million dollars, which is 15.7% more than in the same period last year, when the figure stood at 902.5 million dollars. These data are provided by the Customs Committee of Uzbekistan.

The most notable growth in monetary terms was in gasoline imports: its supplies increased by 48.6% — from 294.3 to 437.4 million dollars, while the physical volume grew by 41.2% — from 511.0 to 721.5 million liters.

Imports of liquefied petroleum gas (propane) also grew significantly: in value terms — by 248.0%, from 35.7 to 124.3 million dollars, and by volume — by 138.9%, from 87.7 to 209.6 thousand tons. Imports of other liquid fuels increased in monetary terms by 113.6% — from 23.7 to 50.5 million dollars, with a volume growth of 141.1%, from 37.0 to 89.3 thousand tons.

Imports of lubricants (motor, transmission, and others) gained 16.4% in value terms — from 114.8 to 133.7 million dollars, and by volume — 15.9%, from 65.2 to 75.6 thousand tons.

At the same time, a decline was recorded for several other types of fuel. Imports of diesel fuel decreased by 12.3% in value terms — from 204.7 to 179.5 million dollars, and by volume — by 19.7%, from 258.5 to 207.5 thousand tons. Imports of other light distillates contracted by 16.2% — from 81.5 to 68.3 million dollars, with a volume decrease of 19.6%, from 140.9 to 113.3 thousand tons.

Kerosene imports fell by 15.3% in value terms — from 52.9 to 44.8 million dollars, with a volume drop of 25.4%, from 53.9 to 40.2 thousand tons. The most notable reduction was recorded for fuel oil (mazut): its imports in value terms dropped by 94.2% — from 94.8 to 5.5 million dollars, and by volume — by 92.0%, from 236.6 to 19.0 thousand tons.

Imports of other petroleum products, which were absent in 2025, amounted to 21 kilograms worth 0.9 thousand dollars in 2026.
