"I know the city will be built – I know the garden will bloom": a city of nuclear workers will be built in the Jizzakh region
During a presentation on the progress of the integrated nuclear power plant construction, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was presented with a plan for the creation of a modern satellite city in the Jizzakh region.
To ensure comfortable living conditions for workers, specialists, and their families during the construction period, a city of nuclear workers is planned.
The 200-hectare site is planned to house approximately 10,000 apartments, designed to accommodate nearly 33,000 people, with 3,000 apartments to be built in the first phase.
The city of nuclear workers will include energy-efficient multi-story residential buildings, schools, preschools, healthcare, sports, and cultural facilities, as well as recreational areas and extensive green spaces. Advanced thermal insulation technologies, alternative energy sources, and smart lighting systems will be used during construction.
To improve project management, strengthen technical oversight, and conduct independent assessments of technological solutions, it is proposed to establish a joint venture with leading international engineering companies. Steps are also outlined to adapt and implement approximately 1,000 industry standards into the national system.
