The "Silk Road Finance & Technology Forum - 2026" held at the CAEx exhibition hall is attended by banks, payment systems, fintech companies and technology business representatives from about 60 countries. The forum is discussing issues ranging from cross-border payments to artificial intelligence, tokenization and cybersecurity.
New forms of payment services were demonstrated in Uzbekistan as part of the event. In particular, the HUMO company presented a payment ring. There is no need to use a bank card or smartphone to make a purchase through this ring; it is enough to bring it closer to a contactless payment terminal.
According to Alexander Sotnikov, Chairman of the Board of the HUMO National Payment System: "We have recently launched this product. Currently, you can pre-order a payment ring through a special HUMO page. A special point will also be launched in Tashkent in a short time, where you can pick up rings. This is one of the new and unusual payment methods for Uzbekistan. This technology is not yet available in many countries."
Experts say that the popularization of such technologies in the future can reduce dependence on a plastic card or smartphone and increase the share of payments through wearable devices.
On the first day of the forum, a memorandum of understanding was signed between HUMO and Gorgona AI on the use of artificial intelligence in payment services. One of its main missions is to develop a system of "agent payments".
It is reported that within the framework of this concept, an artificial intelligence agent is allowed to carry out certain financial transactions on behalf of the user.
"One of the most important issues in this area is the clear definition of the powers granted to artificial intelligence. The user assigns a specific task to the agent, and the system acts within this framework. Therefore, the security of transactions, user control, and compliance with established limits will be the main requirements for implementing the technology. We are currently working on developing and safely testing these mechanisms. Our goal is to make the payment process simpler and more convenient for the user," the report says.
