How to obtain and find out your TIN (STIR)?
TIN (Taxpayer Identification Number) is familiar through documents, tax matters, and business registration processes, but the procedure for obtaining and using it has changed. In this article, we will discuss what this number means, to whom and when it is issued, how it differs from the PINFL (Personal Identification Number of a Physical Person), and how to find it.

How to obtain and find a TIN?
What is a TIN and who needs it?
A TIN is a taxpayer identification number. It consists of 9 digits and is used in Uzbekistan for tax accounting and taxpayer identification.
TIN and PINFL are different identifiers. Starting from July 1, 2021, PINFL is used for tax accounting of individuals. It consists of 14 digits.
A separate TIN is not required for a legal entity: it is issued during the state registration process.
Why is PINFL used for individuals?
Starting from July 1, 2021, new TINs are not issued to individuals. For tax accounting, PINFL — the personal identification number of an individual — is used.
By presidential decree, the state service for issuing TINs was abolished, and a transition to PINFL was envisioned.
If a citizen did not have a TIN before the transition to the new system, they are registered for tax purposes using their PINFL.
Currently, it is not possible to obtain a new TIN for an individual. If the number was issued before July 1, 2021, it can be found along with the PINFL through the Soliq mobile application or my.gov.uz.
Once the service is selected, you must enter the document type, passport series and number, as well as the date of birth.
