A power of attorney to drive a car can be issued via my.gov.uz or the SafeRoad YHXX app. If the authorized person needs not only to drive the car but also to dispose of it, for example, to sell or gift it, a notarized power of attorney will be required. How to issue a power of attorney for a car in Uzbekistan in 2026
Since October 1, 2019, close relatives of the owner can drive their car without a notarized power of attorney. To do this, their details must be included in the car owner's compulsory third-party liability insurance policy.
Close relatives include the spouse, parents, children, brothers, and sisters. The spouse's parents, grandchildren, grandmothers, grandfathers, and other relatives are not included in this list.
If the driver does not belong to this category, they will need a document confirming the right to drive the car, including an electronic or notarized power of attorney.
The choice depends on what powers need to be transferred.
An electronic power of attorney on my.gov.uz is issued specifically for driving the car and does not grant the right to sell the vehicle or take it to another country.

Open the service for issuing an electronic power of attorney to drive a motor vehicle and log in to your personal account.
Select the car.
The system will display the vehicles registered to the owner.
