Hollywood star Nicolas Cage left homeless due to a landslide

Famous 62-year-old American actor Nicolas Cage has lost his home on the Malibu coast. Due to a large fissure opening up near his house, the actor and his family are forced to spend nights in hotels.

In early September, an unexpected geological issue occurred in Malibu. A portion of the road adjacent to the actor's home collapsed, damaging a gas pipeline in the area. Because of this, Cage's family was evacuated to a safe place, and they are currently living in hotels.

It has been revealed that Nicolas Cage purchased this estate in 2024 for $10.5 million.

When journalists asked the actor how he would spend Halloween, he said he would not be able to celebrate it at home.

"I'm homeless right now. Because of an issue with my house in Malibu, I'm simply living in hotels," says Nicolas Cage.

Local officials declared a state of emergency and evacuated residents of 31 homes in the hazardous zone. In Malibu, there is a risk of landslides and flooding due to heavy rains and Hurricane Marie. It remains unknown when the destroyed road will be repaired and when people will be able to return to their homes.

For this reason, Nicolas Cage and his wife, artist Riko Shibata, are currently forced to live in a temporary hotel together with their young daughter, Augusta Francesca.
