"Harry Potter" star Daniel Radcliffe may return to the franchise

Daniel Radcliffe, known worldwide for his portrayal of "the boy who lived," may return to the franchise in an unexpected role. Peopletalk reports on this.

According to insiders, the actor is in negotiations with HBO to play the role of Voldemort in the TV series remake of the "Harry Potter" film saga.

It is said that the parties are very close to signing a contract, but the HBO studio has not yet officially commented on this casting. If the deal goes through, it will undoubtedly become one of the most significant events in the fantasy world. Radcliffe, who portrayed the main character for ten years in the original films, will now appear as his arch-enemy. Meanwhile, the young version of the villain will be played by 13-year-old Billy Barratt.

The premiere of the first season of the new series based on the franchise is scheduled for December 2026. Work on the second season will begin this autumn. HBO plans to fully adapt all 7 books by author J.K. Rowling.
