The largest incidents were the attack on the Bitget platform, where losses reached $387 million, and the hack of Liquid Network for $320 million, of which $285 million was later recovered. These two cases became the largest cryptocurrency thefts since the beginning of the year, surpassing the losses from the April attacks on Drift and KelpDAO.
The largest September hacks also included attacks on the MEV bot yoink for $7.81 million, the Duelbits service for $7 million, DCENT Wallet for $6.57 million, as well as the Astroport, Drop, Nostra Finance projects, and the Nomic bridge. In July, $210 million was stolen as a result of 30 attacks, of which $70 million was accounted for by ColdCard cold wallets, and the total losses from this incident later increased to $115 million.
In addition, in August and September, two data leaks became known at the hardware wallet manufacturer Trezor, which occurred due to the hacking of the systems of the delivery service ShipMonk and the email provider. The attackers obtained customer contacts and began sending phishing emails, and the damage from these actions is currently being established.
