South Korean agribiotechnology company GS-BIO intends to establish a cutting-edge laboratory in the Namangan region to stimulate the development of seed potato production. A company delegation, led by Kim Won-hyun, arrived in the region to discuss cooperation in this area, according to the Namangan Regional Khokimiyat Information Service.
Namangan Regional Khokim Shavkatjon Abdurazzakov met with the head of GS-BIO. During the meeting, the parties discussed the production and supply of seed potatoes, as well as the prospects for implementing greenhouse technologies and Smart Farm systems in this sector.
GS-BIO specializes in innovative approaches to the development of modern seed potato production systems. One of the company's key areas of activity is the production of virus-free potato planting material.
According to the khokimiyat, the company's solutions are designed to increase yields and improve product quality, as well as contribute to the development of modern seed potato production systems in Uzbekistan and Central Asia.
Representatives of the South Korean company expressed interest in further expanding their cooperation, taking into account the conditions and potential of the Namangan region.
The parties are currently considering the possibility of establishing a modern laboratory in one of the region's districts specializing in potato cultivation.
