Greenhouses with energy-saving technologies will be compensated for 50% of electricity expenses

Greenhouse farms with energy-saving technologies will be reimbursed for 50% of electricity costs
Starting November 1, 2026, a new support measure for greenhouse farms using energy-saving technologies will come into effect in Uzbekistan. The state will compensate 50% of electricity costs for greenhouses during the cold period — from October to March. The program is set to run until April 1, 2030.
Owners of greenhouse farms using modern solutions for heating and heat retention will be eligible for compensation. These include special heat-saving coverings, heat pumps, geothermal systems, solar thermal installations, and highly efficient electric heating systems.
This measure is designed to reduce enterprise expenses during the months when more energy is required to heat the farms.
The new program may prove beneficial to farmers, agricultural enterprises, and entrepreneurs who have already implemented energy-saving technologies or plan to modernize their heating systems.
Reducing electricity costs will allow greenhouse farms to use resources more efficiently and decrease the financial burden during the cold season.
As a reminder, the authorities previously tightened the rules for heating greenhouses in Tashkent and five districts of the region: farms will have to abandon coal and other types of solid fuel or install emission purification and automated monitoring systems.
