Washington Governor Congratulates Uzbekistan on the Opening of Its First Consulate General in Seattle
Washington State Governor Bob Ferguson sent a message of congratulations on the occasion of the official opening of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Seattle. On behalf of the residents of Washington State, he welcomed the opening of the new diplomatic mission.
The Governor noted that the Consulate General in Seattle is Uzbekistan's first consulate not only in Washington State, but on the entire West Coast of the United States. He also congratulated the first Consul General in Washington State, Akhror Burkhanov, welcoming him and his team to the "Evergreen State."
Ferguson noted that the new diplomatic mission will open new opportunities for expanding cooperation in areas such as trade and investment, technology, innovation, education, scientific research, culture, and tourism.
"As Governor, I look forward to our future collaborative work with great hope. As I understand, the cooperation between our countries, as well as between Washington State and Uzbekistan, has been ongoing for a long time. I look forward to the further development of this partnership. Once again, I congratulate you on this incredibly important event and welcome you to Washington State!" the congratulatory message reads.
On September 4, the Consulate General of Uzbekistan was officially opened in Seattle, USA.
