CERR has studied the Global Innovation Index 2025 (GII), prepared by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), on the basis of which the ranking was compiled.

Global Innovation Index 2025 Overview

The ranking covers 139 countries and evaluates them across 80 indicators grouped into 7 pillars: institutions, human capital and research, infrastructure, market sophistication, business sophistication, knowledge and technology outputs, and creative outputs. The index takes into account innovation inputs, showing the conditions created for innovative development, as well as innovation outputs, reflecting the practical returns.
