Germany creates hotline for migrants from three countries under threat

Germany launches hotline for migrants from three countries at risk.
Germany's domestic intelligence service, the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV), has launched a special hotline for migrants and refugees from authoritarian countries such as Russia, Iran and China. Meduza reported this, citing a 16-page brochure from the agency.
The brochure states that the hotline is primarily intended for people who are or may be in danger. Among them are journalists and dissidents, who may be subject to harassment, surveillance, repression and kidnapping.
The information provided by users will help German intelligence prevent specific threats. The authors of the brochure say that the domestic intelligence service will be able to find the perpetrators through its own investigations and reports from citizens.
It is noted that the emergence of such a communication line is taking place against the backdrop of ongoing discussions in Germany on granting broader powers to intelligence services.
