Shavkat Mirziyoyev: GDP to reach $300 billion by 2030

Uzbekistan aims to increase its gross domestic product (GDP) to $300 billion by 2030. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced this at a ceremony marking the 35th anniversary of Independence.

The head of state noted that "Three years ago, we planned to increase GDP to $160 billion by 2030. Despite disruptions in global logistics and the unstable situation in the world, we will more than fulfill this task this year and enter the ranks of countries with an above-average income."

According to the President, the main goal now is to maintain high rates of economic growth and increase GDP to $300 billion by 2030.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev also noted that as a result of consistent efforts, the poverty rate has been reduced from 35 percent in 2017 to 4 percent.

We would like to remind you that by the end of 2026, the size of the Uzbek economy is expected to reach $180 billion.
