Gas production at "Uzbekneftgaz" will decrease by almost 10 percent

The "Uzbekneftgaz" company is expected to produce 22.8 billion cubic meters of gas in 2026. This was announced by the first deputy chairman of the company, Sukhrob Khamroyev, in an interview with the "O'zbekiston 24" TV channel on October 6, following a meeting with the head of state.

"By the end of the year, 22.8 billion cubic meters of gas will be produced, and our other industrial products will also be ensured to meet the plan by 100 percent," Khamroyev said.

His words may give the impression that the gas production plan is supposedly being fulfilled by 100 percent, but in reality, according to the planned target announced in January, "Uzbekneftgaz" was supposed to produce at least 25.4 billion cubic meters of gas in 2026.

For reference, "Uzbekneftgaz" reported producing 25.2 billion cubic meters of natural gas in 2025.
