Gas production in Uzbekistan fell by 15% in seven months.
The National Statistics Committee reported a decline in natural gas, oil, and coal production in Uzbekistan for January–July 2026, amid an increase in petroleum product production.
Gas production in Uzbekistan decreased by 15% over seven months.
According to the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan (National Statistics Committee), natural gas production in Uzbekistan for the period from January to July 2026 reached 21.6 billion cubic meters. This is a 15.0% decrease compared to the 25.4 billion cubic meters produced in the same period in 2025.
The agency also reported that oil production during the reporting period amounted to 368,700 tons, which is 2.7% lower than the 378,800 tons produced in January-July 2025.
Gas condensate production also declined by 15.1%, falling from 667,900 tons a year earlier to 567,500 tons.
Coal production in the first seven months of 2026 amounted to 3.5 million tonnes, a 12.5% decrease compared to the 4.0 million tonnes mined in the same period last year.
While raw material production declined, petroleum product production increased. Diesel fuel production increased by 1.4%, reaching 683,400 tonnes compared to 673,700 tonnes in January-July 2025.
Motor gasoline production increased by 8.9%, reaching 731,900 tonnes compared to 672,100 tonnes a year earlier.
Automotive engine production also increased by 4.4% during the reporting period, reaching 137,600 units compared to 131,800 units a year earlier.
