Gas and oil production decreased in Uzbekistan
In January–August 2026, the volume of natural gas and oil production in Uzbekistan decreased.
According to the National Statistics Committee, 24.2 billion cubic meters of natural gas were produced by large industrial enterprises. In the same period of 2025, this figure was 28.9 billion cubic meters.
Oil production also fell from 434.5 thousand tons to 425 thousand tons. Gas condensate production decreased from 760.5 thousand tons to 648.3 thousand tons.
At the same time, an increase in the production volume of certain petroleum products was recorded. In particular, motor gasoline production reached 811.3 thousand tons from 775.7 thousand tons, and diesel fuel reached 834.3 thousand tons from 786.6 thousand tons.
