France entered the TOP 5 European countries in terms of tourist flow to Uzbekistan
In January–August 2026, 22,055 tourists from France visited Uzbekistan. This figure is 20.6 percent higher compared to the same period in 2025.
In terms of the number of visits during this period, France took a place among the top five European countries in inbound tourism to Uzbekistan. Direct flights between Paris and Tashkent remain one of the factors contributing to the increase in tourist flow.
Cooperation with France in the field of tourism is not limited only to the flow of tourists. French companies are also participating in major tourism infrastructure projects in Uzbekistan.
The company "MND", which specializes in mountain infrastructure, is involved in the construction of a four-season resort in Chimgan. Meanwhile, the cable car manufacturer "POMA" is considering projects in Chimgan and Zaamin.
In addition, a number of French companies participated in developing the concept of the Beldersay–Chimgan–Nanay international four-season resort. In the hotel sector, the "Accor" group operates in Uzbekistan through the "Mercure", "Mövenpick", "Swissôtel", "ibis", and "Novotel" brands.
Uzbekistan's participation in the "IFTM Top Resa 2026" exhibition held in Paris with the status of "Country of Honour" was also aimed at further expanding tourism ties between the two countries.
Within the framework of the exhibition, the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, together with the country's embassy in France, presented the national tourism potential. B2B meetings with the participation of tour operators from Uzbekistan, France, and other countries were also organized in the program.
In addition, contacts were established with airlines, the hotel business, and other representatives of the tourism sector. The tourism product offered by Uzbekistan to the international market is also expanding, covering mountain, wellness, gastronomy, nature, and MICE tourism directions along with historical cities.
A new concept of the country's national stand was also demonstrated at the "IFTM Top Resa 2026" exhibition. In it, modern design is harmonized with traditional architectural elements such as wood, ceramics, and muqarnas.
