Kyrgyzstan tops the list of most popular destinations for Uzbek tourists

Kyrgyzstan ranked first among tourists from Uzbekistan.
According to the National Statistics Committee, from January to July 2026, 4.4 million Uzbek citizens made tourist trips abroad. The most popular destinations were Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan.
The number of such trips increased by 45,600 compared to the same period last year. Nearly 2 million Uzbeks chose Kyrgyzstan. It was followed by Kazakhstan with 805,400 visitors, Tajikistan with 745,000, and Russia with 222,600.
The top 10 popular destinations also included Saudi Arabia (167,300 trips), Turkey (166,900), the UAE (47,000), China (43,600), Egypt (32,500), and Vietnam (28,200).
Construction of a new international border crossing, Maamay, and the Kerben-Maamay road is underway on the Uzbek-Kyrgyz border. This new route is expected to facilitate access for Uzbek tourists to the attractions of the Jalal-Abad region.
