The corresponding agreement was reached on November 5 in Tashkent during negotiations between the aviation authorities of the two countries. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the conference of the "China – Central Asia" Civil Aviation Cooperation Working Group.
The changes will also affect other routes between the two states. The number of allowed frequencies will be increased from 14 to 20 flights per week.
The negotiations were led by the Chairwoman of the Civil Aviation Committee of Kazakhstan, Saltanat Tompieva, and the Head of the Air Transport Department of the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan, Jamoliddin Nazarov.
Earlier, Kazakhstan clarified the procedure for introducing the QazETA electronic entry authorization system. Processing the document will be free of charge, and starting July 1, 2027, its absence will serve as grounds for denial of entry. The new rules will also apply to citizens of Uzbekistan.
