Five boxers from Uzbekistan have entered the BoxRec world top 10

As many as five boxers, whom the statistical portal BoxRec classifies as representing Uzbekistan, have entered the top ten strongest amateurs in the world, regardless of weight category. The ranking is topped by Olympic champion Abdumalik Khalokov.

In addition to Khalokov, the top 10 also includes Fazliddin Erkinboev in fifth place, Turabek Khabibullaev in seventh, and Asadkhuja Muydinkhujaev in eighth. Saidjamshid Jafarov is positioned in tenth place.

At the same time, Jafarov now officially represents Azerbaijan. In particular, in the World Boxing documents for the 2026 World Cup, he is listed under the AZE code, but BoxRec currently continues to count the athlete as a representative of Uzbekistan.

At the youth continental championship in Jakarta, the men's U19 and U23 national teams took first place in the overall team standings.
