First Lady of Kyrgyzstan declined a gift worth 35 thousand dollars

During a visit to the ethno-town on the Kyrchyn jailoo, there was an attempt to present the First Lady of Kyrgyzstan, Aigul Japarova, with a valuable gift — a designer carpet valued at 35 thousand US dollars.

The artisan who made the piece reported that the carpet was handmade and decorated with four thousand semi-precious stones, and that he had initially intended to present this work to the president's wife. Aigul Japarova thanked the craftsman for his work and high artistic skill, but declined such an expensive gift.
