China’s Xi Jinping arrives in Kyrgyzstan for state visit

Chinese President Xi Jinping landed in Kyrgyzstan on August 30 for a state visit, as reported by Kabar. President Xi and First Lady Peng Liyuan were greeted at Manas International Airport by their Kyrgyz counterparts, President Sadyr Japarov and First Lady Aigul Japarova.

Following the Chinese delegation's arrival, an official welcoming ceremony took place at the airport. The national flags of Kyrgyzstan and China were hoisted, and an honor guard along with a military orchestra were part of the proceedings. As part of the agenda, girls dressed in traditional Kyrgyz attire offered boorsoks and honey to the Chinese delegation.

The welcoming ceremony also featured performances by the Dobulbaschylar ensemble, komuz players, and dance groups. Representatives of Salbuurun, a traditional Kyrgyz cultural practice, also participated in the event.

The composition "Alp Baatyrlar," which embodies elements of Kyrgyz heroic heritage and traditional culture, was performed during the ceremony.

The program continued in the VIP lounge of Manas International Airport, where a children's choir and young performers contributed to the reception. Children also jointly performed a musical piece in both Kyrgyz and Chinese as part of the welcoming program.
