Fake messages regarding parking "debt" are being sent to Tashkent residents

Poytaxt Parking, the operator of paid parking lots in Tashkent, has issued a warning regarding fake SMS messages being distributed on its behalf. They demand payment for parking.

The SMS messages are originating from numbers with international calling codes from the Philippines (+63) and Morocco (+212). It is not ruled out that other numbers might also be used.

The message states that the subscriber has an unpaid parking debt. It suggests following a link and entering the vehicle's license plate number to view details about the parking session and settle the debt. The link in the message spoofs the official website address and is not actually official.

The senders claim that the parking payment has supposedly been overdue for three days and threaten to restrict access to the services if the "debt" is not cleared.

Poytaxt Parking emphasized that it does not send such messages. Recipients are advised to delete them, refrain from clicking on the links, and not to enter bank card details or vehicle license plate numbers. If card details have already been entered, it is necessary to contact the bank immediately and block the card.

The status of a parking payment can only be checked in the Poytaxt Parking application. For any questions, the company reminded that people can reach out via phone at 78 113 67 00 or through their support bot.
