Tashkent residents warned about fraudulent SMS messages demanding parking payment

Residents of the capital have begun receiving fake SMS messages sent on behalf of Poytaxt Parking. These messages claim that motorists have allegedly failed to pay for parking, and offer a link to settle the resulting debt. The company stressed that it does not send out such notifications.

City residents were urged not to follow links in such messages and not to enter bank card details or vehicle license plate numbers. It is recommended to delete such SMS messages.

If a person has already managed to enter their card details, they should immediately contact their bank and block it.

Poytaxt Parking also reminded that the parking payment status can only be checked in the official service application.

If motorists have any questions, they can call 78 113 67 00 or write to the Telegram bot @PoytaxtParkingsupportbot.

In addition, against the backdrop of the update to the Uzbek alphabet, scammers are sending out installation files for a keyboard with the new letters on Telegram. Instead of the promised application, they send malware that can steal passwords, read messages, and access users' financial data.
