Fabio Cannavaro was listed among the highest-paid coaches
Transfermarkt included Fabio Cannavaro among the highest-paid national team managers in the world, indicating his annual salary in Uzbekistan as 4 million euros. However, this amount has not been officially announced by the UFA, and Cannavaro himself had previously denied the information about the 4 million euros.

Fabio Cannavaro ranked among the highest-paid coaches
The head coach of the Uzbekistan national team, Fabio Cannavaro, has been listed among the highest-paid coaches in the world.
In the ranking by the Transfermarkt portal, the Italian specialist's annual salary in Uzbekistan is stated as 4 million euros. With this figure, Cannavaro occupies 5th place on the list.
Ranked above him are Brazil national team head coach Carlo Ancelotti - 10 million euros, Germany coach Jürgen Klopp - 7 million euros, USA head coach Mauricio Pochettino - 6.1 million euros, and England coach Thomas Tuchel - 6 million euros.
Additionally, it is noted that the head coach of the Portugal national team, Jorge Jesus, receives the same salary as Cannavaro - 4 million euros.
The ranking reveals that the salary of Uzbekistan's head coach is higher than that of France coach Zinedine Zidane (3.6 million euros), Netherlands head coach Xavi (2.5 million), Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni (2.3 million), Turkey head coach Vincenzo Montella (2.2 million), and Italy coach Roberto Mancini (2 million euros).
However, there is an important aspect here: Cannavaro's salary in the national team has never been officially announced by the Uzbekistan Football Association. On the contrary, in October 2025, UFA Vice-President Ravshan Irmatov denied reports that Cannavaro and his staff receive 4 million euros per year, stating that the exact amount would not be disclosed in accordance with the agreement with the coach.
Furthermore, Cannavaro himself later openly denied this figure, saying, "My annual salary is not 4 million euros."
