Explanation given for the delay in the construction of a new building for Tashkent city general jurisdiction courts

An explanation was given as to why the construction of a new building for the Tashkent city courts of general jurisdiction is being delayed.

In accordance with the order of the Cabinet of Ministers, the construction of a new building for the Tashkent city courts of general jurisdiction was to begin in 2021. The engineering company "Single Customer Service", an organization under the Tashkent city administration, was designated as the customer, and the building was scheduled to be commissioned in the fall of 2022. However, despite the passage of five years, construction work has not been completed. The Tashkent city administration responded to the request of the "Daryo" publication on this matter.

According to the capital's administration, during the construction and installation work at the facility, changes and additional work were made to the design and estimate documentation by the user organization.

The design and estimate documentation was redeveloped for the changes made and additional construction work to be performed and submitted to the Urban Planning Examination.

The information states that amendments and additions to the design and estimate documentation for the facility are being considered in accordance with the requirements of Resolution No. 740 of the Cabinet of Ministers of September 5, 2019.

It was added that the building is planned to be commissioned by the end of this year.

Earlier, a draft law aimed at establishing effective financial liability for gross violations of urban planning requirements and preventing illegal construction in Uzbekistan was adopted by deputies in the first reading.
