“Everyone is tired”: Lukashenko said the war in Ukraine will end in the coming months
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko expressed the opinion that the war in Ukraine will end in the coming months. He stated this on November 3 at the 4th Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security.
“The war in Ukraine will end in a few months. This is my personal opinion. That’s it: no strength left, resources ran out, everyone is tired,” Lukashenko said.
The Belarusian leader did not mention exact deadlines or conditions for the end of the war. He explained his prediction by the exhaustion of strength and resources, without clarifying who he was referring to.
Lukashenko stressed that despite some "nuances" in understanding the military conflict in Ukraine, the Belarusian authorities will always remain faithful to the common path with Russia. He also expressed confidence that the peoples of Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine "sooner or later will still be together."
For context, on November 2, Russian forces dropped an aerial bomb on a school in the village of Komyshuvakha in the Zaporizhzhia region of Ukraine. Humanitarian aid was being distributed in this building. As a result of the attack, 29 people were killed and another 48 people are considered missing. According to reports, among the dead and wounded, besides civilians, there are also police officers and rescuers.
